CineFlare Horizon Fixer for FCPX

CineFlare Horizon Fixer for FCPX

Overview

CineFlare Horizon Fixer makes it effortless to correct drifting or uneven horizons in your footage. Simply set your start and end horizon lines and let the plugin do the rest — no keyframing required. It’s the perfect tool when your shot slowly tilts over time or your camera move causes the horizon to shift across the frame.

Designed for speed and control, Horizon Fixer automatically animates the correction across the entire clip, keeping your visuals clean and professional. You can even fine-tune the timing with animation offsets, delaying when the correction begins or ends so the effect always feels natural and seamless.

Horizon Fixer was built for Final Cut Pro X and is easy to use. It’s found in the Effects browser under CineFlare Horizon Fixer. Just drag and drop the effect onto a clip on the timeline and start making adjustments to the parameters.

Highlights

  • “AFFECTED FRAMES” CHECKBOX - In the parameter controls, you’ll first see the “Show Affected Frames” checkbox. Turn this on to preview exactly which frames the horizon sliders will affect. As you adjust the start and end offsets, the graphic shortens from the beginning or end. Wherever the graphic remains visible is where the horizon animation will occur.
  • MAIN CONTROLS - If your clip’s horizon shifts, set the start and end angles at the first and last frames — or add offsets so the animation begins only when the camera starts panning. Do the same at the end. Use Show Affected Frames to preview the animated area, and Movement Ease to smooth the motion.
  • GUIDE CONTROLS - You can toggle two types of guides. One shows movable horizontal and vertical lines so you can align them with elements in your shot. The other displays a full grid across your footage if you prefer using a grid for alignment.
  • BASIC HORIZON FIXER - Horizon Fixer also includes a simple, non-animated mode for clips that don’t need movement. Just set a constant horizon angle — and you’re done.
