CYPE Fire Safety

CYPE Fire Safety

The CYPE Fire Safety Solution is a group of programs created to assist the project engineer during the process of designing and verifying fire safety installations, as well as the geometrical properties of the building.

These applications are integrated into the Open BIM workflow via the BIMserver.center platform.

Includes:

  • CYPEFIRE
  • CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems
  • CYPEFIRE FDS
  • CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems
  • CYPEFIRE FDS Viewer

Included Modules

CYPEFIRE

CYPEFIRE is an application created to help the designer during the process of designing and verifying the characteristics of the building and of the fire protection installations. The workspace allows to create and quickly edit the main characteristics of a fire protection project (compartmentation of zones, limitation of external propagation, means of evacuation of occupants, protection facilities, access for firefighters, etc.).

It includes:

  • CYPEFIRE CTE
  • RSCIEI

CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems

CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems is a tool created to design hydraulic networks for fire protection using sprinklers and fire hose reels. The program carries out the necessary hydraulic calculations and checks to ensure the requirements of the NFPA®13 (National Fire Protection Association) code are met.

CYPEFIRE Hydraulic Systems is an application that is integrated in the Open BIM workflow.

CYPEFIRE FDS

CYPEFIRE FDS is an application for the design of complex building models, to carry out simulations of fire evolution using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) developed by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA).

CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems

CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems is an application that has been developed to carry out the checks that are described in the EN 12101-6 code, which establishes the requirements of a staircase pressurization system. It allows for design of pressure differential systems in accordance with the European EN 12101-6 code.

The application contains System classes A, B, C, D and E, as are indicated in the code, to be able to perform all the necessary checks for each one.

When the geometric model of the building is available in the BIM project, CYPEFIRE Pressure Systems can detect the protected staircases and those that are especially protected, which require a smoke control installation, as defined in the fire safety applications, “CYPEFIRE Design” and “CYPEFIRE CTE”.

CYPEFIRE FDS Viewer

CYPEFIRE FDS Viewer is a free application for viewing simulations of fire evolution carried out using the Fire Dynamics Simulator developed by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA).
